Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Paul Strouse's journey as a photographer started on the sun-soaked beaches of Hawaii, where he earned a BFA in Graphic Design, to the bustling streets of New York. With early roles at TOM’s Shoes and American Apparel, Strouse honed his skills in graphic design and photo editing before pursuing his true passion—photography. Moving to New York City he immersed himself in the world of fashion photography, working alongside industry leaders as a photo assistant, digital tech, and lighting tech. Returning to Hawaii in 2019, Strouse has channeled his expertise into opening Pauahi Street Photo Studio in Honolulu. He has since contributed to a wide range of magazines, including Architectural Digest, GQ, Esquire, and other notable publications.
